![]() Once my tapes are transferred, I will no longer be using this old Handycam but will purchase a new one which burns directly to DVd. My Handycam is old (as you might guess) so all I want to do is find an INEXPENSIVE piece of software which will allow me to transfer all my memories to DVD. If anyone knows of software that will allow me to transfer Hi8 tapes from my Handycam to my computer, edit it, and then burn it to a DVD I would greatly appreciate a recommendation. I shop there often and cannot be more pleased with the professionalism they exhibited when I returned the software. After much discussion, Best Buy did the right thing. Still have the same problem.I just returned the software to Best Buy, explained the defective software situation and suggested they notify Roxio of the problem many of us are having. The Clean Install is from Creator 2009 but will work with V2D.įollowed both Plan A and Plan B diligently (no more no less). (Don't do More than it says and don't do Less!) The trick to Clean Install is to print it out so it is by your side and follow it step by step using the More or Less method. Insert the V2D disc and install the software. Insert the device and cancel any Windows attempt to do anything with it!!! (just that one place/file - it may not be present)Ĭheck in Add/Remove Programs for any Roxio entry and remove it. Look for and delete a file called dsetup.dll in your C:\Windows\System32 folder. Plug the device in and go into Device Manager and delete both entries for it under Sound video and game controllers. If it still fails with an install interrupted, we will move to the Clean Install procedure. I propose this: We will remove any drivers for the device and check for the presence of a file then uninstall Easy V2D. ![]() Thanks, that’s better, now I know where we are!
